This is our 8th YumBox purchase , not including extra insert trays we bought for the standard boxes. This sandwich bag is nice for when my husband will need to eat on the go and not sitting down - I can make a sandwich that stays clean and fresh all day. As for the boxes: We have tried some metal brands, the bentgo brand, and a few others and YumBox is by far our favorite. Things remain fresh and compartmentalized and they are quick and easy to wash. Our kids have two to alternate for lunches at school, and my husband and I each have one for work. Plus they make for easy family outing picnics. I recommend them to all of our friends.
These are my favorite resusable snack bags so far. They clean out quickly (although we don't use them for goopy/sticky stuff) and they don't stick to stuff like wax wrap or get weird smells like the silicone bags. Also, this pattern is really pretty and energizing - its the small things that get you through the daily grind.
I went out of my way to purchase this brand specifically after trying several other bentos. They never leak, they are easy to clean and unlike the boxes with removable parts food doesn't get stuck in the corners and edges. This go round, I also purchased the snack bag and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I'm very happy with my purchase!
We own many of these from the largest Panino 5c size down to the snack size and we use them daily. Easy to clean so long as you follow instructions, don't use hot food or tomatoe-based products and you'll be fine. We wash the inserts in the top rack of the washer and hand wash the covers. We use them for school snack, lunch and then afternoon snacks and dinner-on-the-go. Between school and after-school activities these are our lifesavers. We also use them for in-flight snacks and meals when traveling and these are the easiest to take on long hikes. Highly recommend these for the entire family. We also use their skinny ice packs and silicone partition cups.
We own five yumboxes and we use them for school, travel, hiking. I mean for everything. My kiddo takes a snack box to school along with an original and then for after-school-sports, a medium and a Tapa 5c for on-the-go dinner. We've not had any problems with leaks, or with them breaking or warping. We also haven't experienced any weird smells or issues with the seal. They are hands down the easiest way to eat on the go for us. I wish they made more of their sleeves with handles and a bit hardier than the current iteration b/c they are SOO convenient for a kiddo who has a huge backpack vs having to carry a big lunch pack. Actually, it would be really cool if they could come up with a slick option to carry one or more boxes at a time. Right now we use their insulated sleeves for the Paninos and frozen Packit Bags to deal with the snack boxes. Highly recommend. Really easy to clean. We also handwash the boxes and top rack dishwasher the inserts.
